Terms of Service

Article 1 (Application)

1. These Terms apply to every relationship between the User and the Operator concerning use of the Service.
2. In addition to these Terms, the Operator may establish individual rules (guidelines, FAQs, and the like) for the Service. These form part of these Terms.
3. If a provision of these Terms conflicts with an individual rule, the individual rule prevails.

Article 2 (User Registration)

1. The Service can be viewed without registration. You can create an account with a single email address, but registration exists only for receiving notifications, saving areas of interest, and customization; it is not required.
2. Those who wish to register an account do so by the method designated by the Operator, having agreed to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
3. The Operator may refuse registration or cancel a registration in the following cases.
   • Where there is a past history of cancellation for breach of these Terms or the like
   • Where the registration information contains false facts
   • Where the Operator otherwise has a reasonable ground to judge the registration inappropriate

Article 3 (Management of User ID and Email Address)

1. The User shall manage their registered email address at their own responsibility. The Service uses no passwords; it authenticates via a magic link sent to the email address. Please take care to keep your email account secure.
2. You must not let a third party use your registered email address, nor lend or transfer it.
3. Any act of logging in to the Service from a registered email address is deemed to be by the registered User themselves (the Operator may not be liable for damage arising from email-account takeover).

Article 4 (Prohibited Conduct)

In using the Service, Users must not engage in any of the following.

1. Acts that violate laws and regulations or public order and morals
2. Acts related to criminal conduct
3. Acts that place an excessive load on the servers or network of the Service
4. Mass automated harvesting of the Service's API or data (scraping, crawling) without permission
5. Acts that may obstruct the operation of the Service
6. Acts impersonating another User or a third party
7. Using data obtained through the Service in a way that infringes the rights of a third party
8. Attempting unauthorized access
9. Other acts the Operator reasonably judges to be inappropriate

Article 5 (Data Accuracy and the Nature of the Service)

1. The Service obtains, processes, and visualizes statistical data published by national and local governments and public bodies (e-Stat, municipal open data, the Japan Meteorological Agency, and so on). The Operator makes its best efforts regarding data accuracy, but complete accuracy is not guaranteed because of errors in the source data or differences in update timing. Before any important decision, always check the original data source.
2. The Service is an aid for information search. It is none of the following.
   • Investment advice or solicitation (financial instruments business)
   • Brokerage of relocation, moving, or real-estate transactions (real-estate brokerage business)
   • Legal consultation or legal services (attorney services)
   • Tax consultation or tax agency (certified tax accountant services)
   • Agency for administrative procedures (administrative scrivener services)
   • Other specialized work under the various business regulation laws
   When making an individual decision (choosing where to relocate, buying real estate, making an investment judgment, and so on), always consult a professional in the relevant field.
3. Earthquake, weather, and disaster-prevention information shown on the Service is reference information; for evacuation decisions in an emergency, always check the official announcements of the Japan Meteorological Agency and local governments.
4. The Operator exercises the ordinary duty of care in providing the Service, but does not warrant the completeness, accuracy, usefulness, or fitness for a particular purpose of the Service. The Operator is not liable for damage arising from a User's use of the Service, except where caused by the Operator's intent or gross negligence.

Article 6 (Intellectual Property Rights)

1. The copyright and conditions of use for the public data included in the Service (e-Stat statistical tables, municipal open data, Japan Meteorological Agency announcements, and the like) follow the license of each data provider. Sources are stated within the Service.
2. The copyright and other intellectual property rights in the parts original to the Service (UI design, analysis logic, aggregation, commentary, code, and the like) belong to the Operator.
3. Users may use the content of the Service within the scope of private use, research, and citation (with the source stated). If you wish to make commercial use or redistribute, please contact us in advance.

Article 7 (Interruption, Suspension, and Change of the Service)

1. The Operator may interrupt or suspend all or part of the Service without prior notice to Users in the following cases.
   • Maintenance, inspection, or updating of the system
   • Force majeure such as earthquake, fire, power outage, or natural disaster
   • A failure at an external subcontractor (Supabase / Vercel, and the like)
   • Any other case where the Operator judges interruption or suspension necessary
2. The Operator may change, add to, or discontinue the content of the Service after prior notice. However, this does not apply in urgent cases.

Article 8 (Suspension of Use and Withdrawal)

1. From My Page, Users can change or delete their areas of interest, notification settings, and consent items, and can stop notifications from the Service at any time.
2. Complete account deletion (permanent deletion of all related data) is planned (compliant with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information; coming soon). Until then, please request it through the contact form.
3. If a User breaches these Terms, the Operator may suspend use or cancel the registration without prior notice.

Article 9 (Changes to the Terms)

1. The Operator may change these Terms without notice to Users when it judges this necessary. Material changes will be announced within the Service (in /changelog or at the end of this page).
2. The revised Terms take effect from the time they are posted on the Service.

Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)

1. Japanese law is the governing law for the interpretation of these Terms.
2. In the event of a dispute concerning the Service, the court having jurisdiction over the Operator's location (the Tokyo District Court) shall be the court of exclusive agreed jurisdiction for the first instance.
